South Walnut Creek Trail

WHY are we changing the date you might very well ask?  Because, “Steve from TerraTrike” is coming to visit, he arrives Sunday morning, and we want to host a ride in his honor.  We will do the same ride, but we won’t start til 3:00 p.m., Sunday.  ESPECIALLY if you ride a TerraTrike, we would love for you to join us, but if you don’t, COME ANYWAY!

Yes, it’s our favorite local bike trail.  We will meet at the Govalle Park end of the lovely South Walnut Creek Trail.   Starting at the south end of the trail in Govalle Park, 5200 Bolm Rd., Austin, TX  78721, we will travel 8 miles (we could go 11 miles) north, turn around, and come back.  This means that you can travel as long or as short a distance as you wish. The ride will officially start at 3:00 p.m.  However, we will be there at 2:30 p.m. so if you want to chat with Mike, the Big Kahuna himself, or Steve from TerraTrike, get there early.

This is a ride for fun; to get outside, get some exercise, and meet other friendly cyclists.  All are welcome, just bring something to ride (does not need to be a recumbent).  Bring your own snacks and gear.  Check Facebook for last minute changes of plans — would mostly be due to weather — or call the shop cell phone, 512-789-4118, to double check.
