Glamping at Lake Mineral Wells
May 4, 2018 @ 9:00 pm - May 6, 2018 @ 6:00 pm UTC+6$69.00
THIS EVENT WILL BE POSTPONED UNTIL THE FALL, Y’ALL
I’ve left the description here to keep you interested, but the business of opening the new shop in Keller will have us all tied up!
We had so much fun last fall when we had our Full Moon Glamping trip in Kerrville, that we decided to do a spring version up north–north Texas that is. After all, we want to celebrate our new Ft. Worth location and Lake Mineral Wells State Park is only 45 minutes west of there. Check out their website, I am going to let the Park sell itself. Here are a few photos to get you started:
“Glamping,” for the uninitiated, is a combination of Glamor + Camping. What does it mean? For our purposes, it means Easy Street staff plans the weekend itinerary, leads the organized rides, and fixes the meals. The objective is to have planned activities as well as some time for our guests to do things on their own. Also, you only need to pitch a tent if that’s what you want to do. We have 7 “screen shelters” reserved (plus 1 for Easy Street). They are not luxurious, you will need to bring your own air mattresses and bedding, but they do have picnic tables and protection from the weather. There are RV sites available as well. And, if you need a hotel in order to be comfortable, there are a number of them nearby, The closest seems to be a Days Inn, 1.1 miles from the Park.
So, mark your calendar and keep checking for updated information as things develop.
The price you see does not include the price of accommodations, daily use fees, or recumbent rental. If you would like a screened shelter, it will be $72 (+ any taxes/fees) for the two nights, and please contact Rebecca at Easy Street to reserve (512-789-4118). If you would like a different accommodation at the Park (camping or RV site), call 512-389-8900. And, if you decide to go the luxury route and get a nearby hotel or other lodging, that will be up to you. If you know you would like to rent a ‘bent for the weekend, call the shop and talk to Mike.
Come have fun with us! It’s a beautiful setting, great riding, lots of things to do, and you’ll be hanging out with our wonderful friendly ‘bent community.
